Thermo Capna TSC1790D ETHOS-4 Ethanol Extraction System
This item is in very good condition. Powers on and cooled to -30C without ethanol. Unit was retrieved from working laboratory in working condition. Unit is missing a few fittings, but none that effect the workings of the unit.
Core Operating Principle: Cryogenic Extraction The system operates by chilling food-grade ethanol to extreme temperatures, typically between -40°C and -80°C. Selective Solubility: At these cryogenic temperatures, ethanol becomes a highly selective solvent. It dissolves desired cannabinoids and terpenes while leaving undesirable lipids, waxes, and chlorophyll “frozen” and insoluble within the plant material. Pressureless Design: The system uses a vacuum-driven (pressureless) flow. Vacuum displacement moves the solvent through the biomass and into collection vessels, which prevents the escape of flammable vapors and eliminates the risk of leaks from high-pressure valves or gaskets.
