The Sartorius Ambr® 250 High Throughput (HT) system (specifically the 001-6G01 series) is an automated, multi-parallel benchtop bioreactor workstation managing up to 12 – 250 mL vessels. It offers individual control for pH, dissolved oxygen (DO), temperature, and agitation, designed for rapid process development, clone selection, and scale-down modeling in cell culture or microbial fermentation.
  • Capacity: 12 fully independent bioreactor stations, with 100–250 mL working volume. 
  • Vessel Type: Single-use, pre-calibrated, disposable vessel assemblies. (No vessels included) 
  • Agitation: 100 rpm to 4500 rpm; supports standard Rushton or pitch blade impellers, as well as specialized ‘elephant ear’ impellers for microcarriers. 
  • Control Parameters: Individual PID control for pH (2 – 8.5 range), DO (0-200%) temperature (heating/cooling), and agitation. 
  • Liquid Handling: Automated, high-precision robotic arm for feeding, sampling, and liquid transfers using positive displacement pumps. 
  • Gas Control: Flexible sparge and headspace gassing options for O2, N2, Air, and CO2Analytics & Software: Integrated software with DoE (Design of Experiments) functionality, optional exhaust gas analysis (OUR/CER), and integrated cameras for remote monitoring. 
  • The system (often referenced in Gen 2 configurations) enhances reproducibility and efficiency, reducing the need for manual sampling and reducing labor in bioprocess development.
